Here are some of the areas we could use help with:

Currently, the A.L.I.C.E. engine resides on an outside server, but we would like to bring it in-house at some point. 

The Flash interface displays the incoming XML, but we would like to parse it in more sophisticated ways, giving the incoming XML the ability to control the Flash presentation. It would be cool to be able to strip out hidden control codes.

We've looked at a number of AIML editors and have not been all that impressed. Something along the lines of the Dialog to AIML parser but more sophisticated would be nice.

The Oddcast technology is very impressive, but it only works under Internet Explorer and not other browsers. We'd love to eventually develop a Flash based version incorporating VoiceXML and the latest text to speech technology. 

Of course, we are open to any ideas that further our ultimate goal of making a sophisticated expert system with personality that allows natural language conversation.
